![]() ![]() This beer was only alright and I wouldn’t rush back to have this one. It had a rather long, bitter citrus finish. The body was on the medium side with high carbonation. Wheat was present, but not all that strong. The primary flavor was obviously tangerine, but had a bit of bitterness at the end. Brewed with the perfect balance of wheat and crystal malts, our Tangerine Wheat delivers a perfectly crisp finish. ![]() It had all of the citrus, but none of the sweetness that was apparent in the nose. When I got to the taste, it was a total letdown. The nose was really fragrant with lots of sweet tangerine notes and a bit of wheat. The body was a very cloudy orange color with lots of carbonation visible. This brew poured with a two finger, white head that dissipated quickly and left no lacing on the glass. We’re probably going to end up going to Seattle or Portland, both of which would be very exciting. Brewed with a combination of wheat and crystal malts, and finished with Perle hops.” Trivia: According to the brewery website, “A refreshing citrus ale, Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat combines our Lost Coast Harvest Wheat with natural tangerine flavors. I came home with this one from Philly because I was really in the mood for a fruit beer and I’ve never tried a beer that features tangerines. Their labels are a bit on the campy side and not anything that’s all that attractive to me. I’ve seen some of their labels in beer stores in other states, but never come home with anything from them. We’ve found a brewery that I’ve managed to never try anything from. ![]()
